I've spent years as an engineer working with cybersecurity solutions from many different vendors - but something always felt missing to me. There's absolutely a lot of capable software out there but the tools often require a huge amount of configuration, compute, and constant staffing to get the most out of them. The costs also put them out of reach for many teams, especially smaller organisations and individuals.
A few years ago I started designing a different type of security tool. The goal is to provide intuitive visualisations for at-a-glance understanding, and industry-leading intelligence (both with and without AI) to interpret data and find meaning without hundreds of manually configured rulesets.
That vision became Redbolt: a cybersecurity company built on the belief that tools should serve the user, no matter if it's a large enterprise or a homelab enthusiast.
